80 Turbine Wind Project: Cargo Survey & Port Management

In December 2024, we began working on the ambitious High Coast Wind Project in Sweden, which involves the installation of 80 wind turbines. These components are being transported through the ports of Härnösand and Köpmanoholmen. As cargo surveyors, marine surveyors, and port logistics management specialists, our team plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by overseeing cargo unloading and designing optimized storage and logistics processes.

Managing Cargo Surveying and Port Operations

Our main focus for this project involves cargo surveying during the unloading of the wind turbine components. We monitor each vessel's arrival, ensuring that the components are unloaded and stored efficiently. Our expert team of marine surveyors ensures that all items are documented and handled accurately, providing crucial support throughout the logistics process.

Additionally, we are responsible for designing and overseeing storage operations at the ports. Using advanced computer modeling, we create efficient storage layouts to ensure that each wind turbine component is placed in an optimal position for easy access and minimal disruption during transport.

Leveraging Drone Technology for Logistics Optimization

One of the standout technologies we are employing to add value to this project is drone mapping. Drones provide real-time aerial views of the ports and storage areas, allowing us to create detailed and accurate maps of the area. These drone surveys provide critical data that informs our port logistics planning and storage layout design.

By using drone technology, we can monitor and evaluate the available space more effectively, ensuring that the logistics and storage operations are optimized from every angle. Drone maps help us to fine-tune storage strategies, track the movement of cargo, and adapt to any changes in real-time, allowing us to make better decisions and avoid potential bottlenecks.

Ensuring Seamless Operations and Client Success

Beyond cargo surveying and storage management, our team is also focused on providing logistics support to ensure that every phase of the project is completed without delays. We are in constant communication with stevedores, transport companies, and port authorities to make sure that every component is delivered on time and handled with care. Using our drone-assisted data and our deep experience in logistics management, we proactively solve problems and keep everything on track.

Our comprehensive approach to port logistics and cargo surveying, combined with modern technologies like drones, guarantees the success of this massive wind power project.
